Becoming Intentionally Virtuous
February 17, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - February 17, 2025 @ 2:00 pm

Christ came to start a trail of fire and asks us His disciples of today to strive to intentionally live a Christ-centered virtuous life.
Living with the fire of Christ-centered virtues burning within. It’s the only way we can move in the direction of perfection. This fire that Jesus is speaking of burns internally. From the moment of our baptism, the virtues of faith, hope, and love are like small pilot lights burning within us, waiting to ignite the fullness of Christ within our hearts and minds.
Jesus knows that once those internal flames are burning as one, that fire will light the way for countless numbers of people to find their way to their God-given mission. The way to a virtue-focused purpose-driven meaningful and fulfilling Christ-centered life.
What does a virtue-centered life look like?
It’s a life in which the foundation is built on the Cardinal virtues of, prudence, temperance, fortitude, and justice. A life in which we embrace the Seven Capital Virtues we need to help us overcome the temptations of the Seven Deadly Sins: Humility to counter pride. Chastity to counter lust. Temperance to counter gluttony. Generosity to counter greed. Diligence, or persistence, to counter sloth. Meekness or patience to counter unjust anger or wrath. Kindness to counter envy.
A life in which the virtue of fortitude is our guide through challenging times. A life in which the virtues of faith and hope, strengthen our belief in a better tomorrow and gives us the endurance to execute our mission. A mission designed to help Jesus build up a civilization rooted in the virtues of justice and love, not one rooted in the vices of judgment and jealousy.
My fellow disciples; May you and I pray for the true will and desire to live a virtuous life and avoid falling into the temptations of sin. May we pray for those in our life that have yet to learn about the joys of living by Christ’s teachings. May we pray that having lived a virtuous life in our earthly Kingdom, we will all one day be reunited in our Father’s heavenly Kingdom.
Please join us, and contribute to the conversation so that together we can discuss the things that we are striving to do daily to grow in the practice of living a virtuous life.
